WHO WE ARE
CJC Coaching Team
All CJC Coaches are BJA qualified and certified, DBS checked and first aid trained. All are volunteers and profit only by the smiles they attempt to put on the players faces!
STEVE EVANS
Lead Coach
BJA Level 2 Coach; 2nd Dan Black Belt. Steve began Judo in London in 1986, instructing at the 61 Judo Club in Amersham before moving to Stroud in 2012, and has been coaching at Cirencester since 2013.

PAUL WHEREAT
Chairman
Paul was Head Coach at Cirencester Judo Club for more than 25 years. In 2016 he 'retired' to spend time with his family as husband and grandparent. As Chairman he keeps a paternal and watchful eye over the club!

ROB GOLBOURN
CJC Coach
BJA UKCC Level 2 Coach; 2nd Dan Black Belt. Rob is passionate about Ne-Waza (ground work techniques) and landscape gardening.

RICH HALE
CJC Coach
BJA UKCC Level 2 Coach; 2nd Dan Black Belt. Rich has been with Cirencester Judo Club since 2011.

STEW MCINTYRE
CJC Instructor
BJA Level 1 Coach; 1st Kyu Brown Belt. Stew (second right) is our Club Welfare Officer, and has been active at CJC since 2011.
